One confirmed dead as fighting breaks out again in Bokkos community in Plateau state

Few days after suspected herdsmen ambushed and killed Lazarus Agaei, a first class traditional ruler alongside his wife, son and police guard in Bokkos local government area in Plateau state, fighting broke out in the same area last night as unknown assailants stormed the village to carry out more attacks.

Angry youths in the community this morning barricaded all major roads leading to the area and also blocked the convoy of the state commissioner of police Adekunle Oladunjoye who was there to assess the level of destruction.

Soldiers serving with the Special Task Force in Jos opened fire on rampaging youths. In the process, one of them was hit, killing him, while many others sustained injuries.
