Every dream is truely valid.

Sophia had always been a purpose driven lady. In her O’levels, she aced it. In her undergraduate years studying Business Administration, she was top 3 in her class. It had not been easy but she has been up to the task. Soon after her Youth Service year, she got a job in a new generation bank as an Executive Trainee (ET) and within a short space of time, she had risen quickly to a BO (Banking Officer) which was quite an accomplishment. Her typical day started by 4a.m. since she needed to leave home as early as 5:30a.m. to beat the unforgiving traffic. At the earliest on good days, she’d get home by 9p.m., catch up on the news at 10 and off to bed to begin same cycle the next day.

On a bright Saturday morning, she received a call from her mother. She felt a sense of shame picking up for at that moment she realized she hadn’t even called the woman in months and they both lived in the same town! Mother goes, “Sophia for how long will you slave for someone else’s dream? What about the Beauty parlour you always wanted since you were a teenager? It was this same dream that made you choose Business Administration so you could understand the rudiments of business. If you put in 20% of the efforts you expend in your bank, imagine how you’ll thrive”.

Sophia rolled her eyes. After getting off the phone, she lay down and soon enough thoughts and ideas started running through her mind. But for how long could she really continue like this? She was almost 35, she’d always thought she would be financially independent by the time she turned 30. She couldn’t even sustain a relationship as there was just no time for that. True enough, she had met a lot of nice guys, but once they realize the schedule she keeps at work, they quickly exit the picture.
At that moment, she came up with a 3 month plan to quit her banking job and face her dreams. She realized that first; she needed training and business support.
