At the private screening of the movie with cinema proprietors, actors, media practitioners and entertainment stakeholders last weeks, the movie got lot of commendations and praise from those who know about movie business. According to Moses Babatope, The Visit is a movie to watch out for. ‘I had goose pimples when I saw the movie, The Visit. It is a well done story, beautifully executed and technically-sound in terms of input’.
Moses who is an executive director with Filmhouse Cinema who will be showing the movie implores the viewing audience to anticipate the movie. ‘People should watch out for this movie, and most importantly we need to watch this movie at the cinemas. It deserves everyone’s supports at the box office. This is a movie made with a lot of ambition and the actors outdid themselves in all ramifications’ he said.
For an officer of Genesis Cinema who does want her name in print said The Visit is well worth the hype. ‘When I first heard about The Visit and the talk of the four-man cast, I was sceptical knowing full well that Nigerians are reluctant to see a Nigerian movie at the cinemas but watching it know, I can see it’s a beautiful movie. It grabs your attention from the first minute to the last. This is a movie that should be t the cinema, it will do Nollywood proud. ‘We are humbled by the response of people to The Visit. Our goal was to give quality entertainment; we are glad people who have seen the movie rate it highly, and the online community has been full of praises as well for its trailer. The visit which is a four-cast movie, is the story of two couples living together in the same house, but with completely different lifestyles. Their parallel lifestyles at a point colluded and the resulting effect were intriguing plots and sub-plots, that made those that have seen it dubbed IT as the most sensational Nollywood thriller of 2015.
